A range of swivels that have been specially developed for use with various installation techniques. Their application includes Pipe Bursting, Slip Lining and Directional Drilling
The Pipe Equipment range of Swivels has been specially developed for use with the various trenchless installation techniques. Their application includes Directional Drilling, Slip Lining and Pipe Bursting.
Each of the different designs of Swivel have been developed to overcome problems specific to the application they are used with. High quality materials are utilised to ensure long life in the aggressive conditions encountered.
DIRECTIONAL DRILLING SWIVELS
Two types are available covering a range from 2.5 to 250 Ton. Designed for prolonged use, under load in the presence of high pressure drilling fluids, the Direction Drilling Swivels feature multiple stage sealing systems, single, double and triple taper bearings (number dependant on rating), and high safety factors on both bearings and main bodies. Directional Drilling Swivels are usually supplied with ‘Clevis’ type fittings but ‘Spade’ or ‘Box’ ends can be supplied on request.
DOUBLE CLEVIS SLIP LINING SWIVELS
Five Tonne static rated Double Clevis Swivel for limited rotational applications. Used in winching applications to avoid damage to the cable or product pipe as a result of twisting winch wires. They are used in bursting operations to ease rod and blade removals in two way bursts. The Double Clevis Swivels feature a large clevis thereby avoiding the need for ‘D’ shackles and enabling direct connection onto Pipe Equipment Towing Heads.
SINGLE CLEVIS BURSTING SWIVELS
Five and Fifteen Tonne rated Single Clevis Swivels. Utilised with hydraulic rod push/pull pipe bursting equipment, secured in line between the expander support rod and the towing head. As the swivels fasten directly into the expander support rod it eliminates the need for an ‘Eye’ on the support rod thus enabling the product pipe to enter further into the expander body. As with the Double Clevis Swivels the Single Clevis Swivels eases rod and blade removal on two way bursts, whilst fastening direct to Pipe Equipment Towing Heads without the need for ‘D’ shackles.
